Pieper James Defends Herself After Bachelor In Paradise Drama With Brendan Morais And Natasha Parker

Bachelor Nation gave their full support to Natasha Parker for what Brendan Morais and Pieper James put her through on Bachelor in Paradise this week. Long story short, Brendan and Pieper had already developed a relationship before BIP. Since Pieper wasn’t one of the first to arrive like Brendan, he had to start a relationship with Natasha to stick around until she got there. Once Pieper arrived in paradise, it was quickly revealed that her and Brendan were there for social media followers. Or in Bachelor Nation talk, they weren’t there “for the right reasons.”

Now, Brendan and Pieper are facing scrutiny from fans and fellow cast members for their actions. To keep from hemorrhaging followers now they’re posting apologies to Instagram. Their approaches to apologizing however are a bit different.

As Entertainment Tonight reports, “Pieper danced to Lizzo’s track, ‘Rumors,’ on her Instagram Story, and wrote ‘all’s fair in love and war’ in a post on her feed.” She proceeded to post an explanation to her stories, beginning with, “just a gentle reminder that reality tv isn’t real. An edited, produced, and cut down show isn’t going to show you every single thing said and done.” Who doesn’t love a non-apology? Producers of The Bachelor franchise probably love that she said all this.

“I make light of this show because it’s a lighthearted show,” Pieper continued. “I don’t believe in pitting women against each other. I don’t believe men are prizes to be won at the expense of someone’s feelings. I believe in open communication to get answers, not name calling on the internet.”

Finally, Pieper concluded by writing, “at the end of the day it’s a TV show. We the viewers are shown what makes the best television, just as any show. And folk [sic] what we have here is a very successful show.” Actually, folks, what we have here is an unabashed attention seeker.

Brendan, on the other hand, tried to compose a sincere apology. He wrote in an Instagram story, “… I apologize to you Natasha. I hurt you. I am deeply sorry for doing so. I understand that the damage is already done and all I can do going forward is acknowledge the error of my ways.” This is an apology, but let’s not forget that he’s losing followers and likely doing it to rehab his image.

Entertainment Tonight also shared that “as of Thursday morning, Brendan has lost more than 85,000 Instagram followers, while Pieper has lost more than 8,000.” So much for their promotion plans!
