Katie Thurston Blake Moynes The Bachelorette
THE BACHELORETTE - "1709" – After an unexpected and heartbreaking departure before “hometowns,” Katie is nervous but excited to continue the journey with her three remaining men in New Mexico. With stakes at an all-time high and the pressure of meeting loved ones, she tries to balance falling in love with fairness – but keeping her emotions held close leads to a tense fallout with one of the guys. Can Katie patch things up enough to convince him (and herself) to stay, or is she ready to quit her journey for good? An all-new episode of “The Bachelorette” airs MONDAY, AUG. 2 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC/Craig Sjodin) BLAKE MOYNES, KATIE THURSTON

Kelley Flanagan Wants Blake Moynes To Be The Next Bachelor

Blake Moynes is having a rough end to the year. He and Katie Thurston called it quits in November, after getting engaged during the last season of The Bachlorette. Things seemed to end amicably until Katie announced in an Instagram story that she was dating John Hersey a couple weeks after their split.

John was on Katie’s season of The Bachelorette for a hot minute, but they have obviously reconnected since then. Blake recently shared his thoughts on the pair’s new relationship, saying, “based on timeline and everything,” that it’s possible there was “emotional cheating” going on for their relationship “to transition as quickly as it did.” The good news is that Bachelor Nation loves a comeback. People like Kelley Flanagan, from Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, are now advocating for Blake to be the next Bachelor.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Kelly said, “I really feel for Blake, he’s one of the best guys I’ve ever met and was super excited for him when he got engaged [to Katie].” Kelley also said, “I’m sure his mind is questioning everything,” so, “I send my best to him and hopefully he gets a cool opportunity out of this. Let’s make Blake the new Bachelor!”

Unfortunately for Kelley and Blake fans everywhere, Clayton Echard from Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette already has the title. Maybe down the line though, Blake can step into the lead. The question however is whether Blake is ready for something like that.

Recently on the Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation podcast, Blake opened up about where he’s at, saying, “I am in no way prepared to go through meeting 30 women.” He elaborated, sharing that he thinks his ego is “hurt right now. I feel like an idiot with how things played out, when you’re so sure about something and you feel like you found your rock. To all of a sudden be able to turn that rock and try to find another one within the time frame that we have? No.”

This is coming from someone who has been on The Bachelorette twice though. I highly doubt he’d turn down the opportunity. At the very least, you know we’ll be seeing Blake next summer on Bachelor In Paradise.
