Real Housewives Of Dubai Cast And Premiere Date Announced

A new Housewives franchise is upon us! In November of 2021, Andy Cohen announced that Real Housewives of Dubai would be the 11th city of the iconic series. It came as a surprise to a lot of fans, since Dubai wasn’t heavily talked about. And some have been critical of the choice of location. The culture of Dubai, located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is complicated. Being gay is illegal and women have limited rights. But while Andy called the criticism “fair,” he also explained the thought process behind ultimately picking Dubai. Andy previously explained, “In a weird way, if we expose people to it, won’t that be a significant conversation starter as opposed to never having the conversation?”

Controversy aside, Bravo is now revealing all the details. As reported by People, the new cast and premiere date has been released. RHODubai will be coming to our screens on Wednesday, June 1st at 9 PM EST. Even more exciting – it will be a supersized episode, running an extra 15 mins.

RHODubai will follow the lives of cast members Nina Ali, Chanel Ryan, Caroline Brooks, Dr. Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan and Caroline Stanbury. YES, that Caroline Stanbury. You might remember her from Ladies of London, which was personally one of my favorite Bravo series. I was so bummed when it was cancelled after three seasons. But one of the big reasons it was likely canceled was because of Caroline – she was packing up and moving to Dubai with then-husband, hottie Cem Habib. More on that later.

A logline for the series read, “Whether they’re dining on a mountainside overlooking a valley of 1,000 camels or hosting the wedding event of the year, these ambitious and glamorous women prove everything is more extravagant in the ‘City of Gold.’ When new group dynamics threaten long-standing friendships, tensions inevitably reach a boiling point, so if you can’t handle the heat… get out of Dubai.” Ok, I’m loving this already.

Let’s dig into the cast. Nina is up first. She’s a lifestyle content creator who has lived in Dubai since 2011. She’s a married mother of three and hails from Lebanon. Like many working mothers, this season she decides if her life of luxury is worth the sacrifices.

Chanel is not only Dubai’s first Black supermodel, but she runs a talent agency. How Cynthia Bailey of her! She’s described as a fashion and beauty expert, mother and socialite. On a more serious note, she has a past and is forced to confront it on the show.

Caroline B’s storyline revolves around securing a future for her and her son. The Afro-Latina daughter of Honduran immigrants is actually a first-generation American. I’m sure the show will explain how she ends up in Dubai but for now, it’s a mystery. Caroline B works in the Dubai real estate market (cannot wait to see that) and one day wants to open an inclusive spa.

Since the age of 15, Sara has been a successful public speaker and entrepreneur. She’s also been divorced twice mom and was raised in the United Arab Emirates. This season, she’s looking for love.

Lesa is a wife and mother of 3. The former Miss Jamaica is living out her dreams in Dubai as a successful maternity line fashion designer. Much like Nina, her storyline will have her trying to determine is her success is worth the cost of her own personal life.

Finally, the crown jewel! Well, in my humble opinion. We have come to Caroline S, who was previously a well-known socialite and stylist in London. Prior to marriage, Caroline was romantically linked to Hugh Grant and Prince Andrew. She has 3 kids with Cem but the couple divorced in 2019, after 5 years of marriage. She now hosts a podcast, Divorced Not Dead, and recently married Real Madrid soccer star/also a hottie, Sergio Carallo. But Sergio is 27 and Caroline is 45, so despite looking crazy in love on her popular Instagram account, marrying someone younger has some unique challenges for the two.

Andy, along with 7 others, will be the executive producers on the show, which is being produced by Truly Original. Despite other international Housewives franchises, this will be Bravo’s first original international iteration of the series.

TELL US – WILL YOU BE WATCHING REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DUBAI? ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH ANY OF THE CAST MEMBERS?
