Shep Rose and Jenna King have a complicated history. Understandably, fans of Southern Charm may be hyper-focused on the current dynamic between exes Taylor Ann Green and Shep Rose and their best friends Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers (also exes), but that’s not how it’s always been.
The show certainly has come a long way since its debut season in 2014, when Craig Conover was a recent law school graduate, and Shep and Whitney Sudler-Smith were still advocating the fun single lifestyle.
But while things have changed and people have come and gone, longtime viewers of the show might still remember a cast member who only appeared in one season — Jenna King.
Shep Rose and Jenna King are staying in touch
Jenna was an edgy aspiring fashion designer and hasn’t been on the show since the first season almost a decade ago. But surprisingly, (or not surprisingly?), she is still in touch with many of the show’s cast.
During a discussion with The Daily Dish, Shep talked about the last time he saw Jenna. Though the two haven’t shared the screen for years, they did stay in touch. Shep even revealed that he was supposed to hang out with Jenna recently, although their plans never pushed through.
“Typical Jenna,” Shep said. “She’s always been so flighty and basically flaky. She was in Charleston last year and was like, ‘I’d love to see you,’” he shared. He added that he told her he’d absolutely love to meet up, only for her to end up ditching the whole thing.
And while he didn’t get to reunite with her then, he didn’t mind and just laughed it off. “It was very typical for her,” he explained.

And Shep isn’t the only one in contact with Jenna. Season 9 newbie Rod Razavi also shared a connection with the album for the first season with a throwback photo on his Instagram.
“TBT to 13 years ago with the one and only Jenna King at Club OKU Charleston,” he wrote in his caption. Jenna replied, “We still so cute,” to the post and re-shared it on her IG story.
Looks like it’s still possible to emerge from the show with friendships intact. That is if they show up when they say they will.
