Shep Rose’s behavior at BravoCon 2023 earned him a call from Andy Cohen. The Southern Charm star later admitted to his alcohol-fueled mistakes. For Shep, this discussion was a badly needed wake-up call.
Shep Rose explains what happened behind the scenes after BravoCon 2023

According to US Weekly, Shep’s second book, Nothing in Moderation: A Psychedelic Reckoning With Excess, detailed his BravoCon experience. “Apparently, there was an internal email from WWHL [Watch What Happens Live] staff about my antics. I agreed with them and expressed remorse,” Shep wrote.
When Andy called him, he told the Southern Charmer, “Something needs to change.” In his memoir, Shep wrote about being “hammered the whole time” he was in Las Vegas for BravoCon. He recalled drinking “Jack Daniel’s and ginger ale” and trying his luck at blackjack. In addition, Shep admitted that he “did cocaine on a couple of nights with strangers” that he met at the hotel bar.
Plus, he reported that he had an unpleasant interaction with a “high-level executive” from Bravo. “I totally blew him off. Then realized who he was and clumsily tried to rectify the situation,” Shep wrote. “Big cringe.” And Shep also shared that he was involved in a “screaming match” with co-star Craig Conover.
“So, I got sent to the principal’s office for a slap on the wrist. But the network’s reaction wasn’t what worried me. I was concerned about myself,” Shep said in his book.
Of course, Shep’s wild time at BravoCon was discussed at the Southern Charm Season 9 reunion. “Frankly, I was scared, which was a feeling I’d never felt before,” Shep wrote. This realization led to his trip to Costa Rica and his ayahuasca journey.
Southern Charm fans are already looking forward to Season 12, as Shep’s ex-girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green, was spotted filming with the cast. The two are currently on good terms.
Southern Charm is now streaming on Peacock.
