Things just continue to get worse for Kody Brown, and the man does himself no favors in the way he responds, especially with a recent comment about Meri. As things crumble between him and Meri Brown, all he can do is slam the relationship in front of Sister Wives cameras.
Meri was Kody’s first wife. The two married in 1990 before eventually welcoming more wives into their polygamous relationship. The two announced their split from each other in early 2023, sharing on Instagram, “We have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship.”
Meri wasn’t the only one. Janelle Brown and Christine Brown also decided to end their marriages to Kody, making Robyn Brown the only current wife. Robyn expressed concern over that lone role in the past, but that didn’t stop Meri or the other wives from making their choice.
Is there any hope for Kody Brown and Meri?
In this past Sunday’s most recent episode, Kody told the cameras, “I feel like Meri and I have had a reasonably amiable relationship. It’s distant, I don’t see her very often. I don’t know what to do with a marriage that’s supposed to be eternal, but doesn’t have any fire.”
In a separate confessional, Robyn expressed hope for Kody and Meri. “If Meri just sticks around long enough, and we get through what’s going on with Christine, and even, you know, Kody and Janelle figure out whatever they’re gonna do, and he can get through all of his anger and his emotions about everything, that they will have a chance to work it out.”
However, Robyn’s hopes are almost surely misplaced. There’s little chance that Kody will ever come to a positive resolution with Christine and Janelle. Earlier this month, Christine married another man. Kody’s life and marriages are falling apart all around him, and there’s not much he can do about it.
