Todd Chrisley Lawyer Claims Reality Star Was Given Wrong Medication in Prison

One of reality TV’s biggest villains is undoubtedly Todd Chrisley, and he’s got the prison time to show for it. Todd and his wife Julie Chrisley were found guilty of bank and tax fraud charges. The two are currently living out their sentences for the crimes, with Todd at FPC Pensacola in Florida.

The Chrisley Knows Best star’s initial sentence was 12 years, but that time was recently brought down to just 10 years. Now, if the recent claims about FPC Pensacola are true, Todd should be very glad to get as little time as possible. Todd’s attorney, Jay Surgent, is coming after the prison for multiple unethical and negligent practices.

It’s no secret that U.S. prisons need reform, and Todd’s experience may just be more evidence of that fact. As Todd’s lawyer alleges, the reality star has been a witness and victim of “a very cruel, broken and inhumane system.” See the details below.

Todd’s prison allegedly denies Muslim rights

Todd’s attorney spoke with RadarOnline about the prison experience. “The medical department is in shambles,” Surgent said, adding that Todd was given “medicine intended and belonging to another inmate.” However, according to Surgent’s allegations, Todd is far from the only victim.

Three weeks ago, FPC Pensacola’s medical department allegedly and “inadvertently” administered insulin to one prisoner. Surgent claims that “the administration of this medicine rendered them unconscious and they were rushed to the hospital.”

The lawyer further opined, “These types of mix-ups and mistakes are inexcusable and just another indication of how terrible these conditions are and have become.” Surgent also went on to accuse the prison of having inmates work in “dangerous” temperatures. Moreover, he alleged that Muslim prisoners were forced to work during their allotted time for religious practice.
