Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Would ‘Crush’ DWTS, Says Charity Lawson

Charity Lawson might welcome another Bachelor Nation member to the Dancing with the Stars family in the future, in the form of Gerry Turner. But how would he do on DWTS? Quite well, according to Charity!

The lovely former Bachelorette star is currently among the celebrities competing for the Mirrorball trophy in the latest season and even scored a perfect 10 on the “Most Memorable Year” episode.

But as the endearing The Golden Bachelor continues to sweep the nation, Charity can’t help but share that the charming inaugural star of the show should also be getting his dancing shoes on. Is it something you’d want to see?

“I think he would kill it,” she said to The Messenger. “I actually think he would crush it. Gerry has moves! I don’t know if you all saw him at his premiere part, but he was showing off some pretty stellar dance moves.”

Charity further revealed that she got to talk to Gerry before he began filming to share some of her insights on how to lead the new series and tips on finding love.

“I just told him, honestly, you got to take that one day at a time because that’s a whole different world,” she explained. “I can’t even go into that. We all know that the Bachelor world’s crazy!”

Fortunately for Charity, she navigated her journey quite well. She ended up with her own happily ever after with now-fiancé Dotun Olubeko, who was present and cheering her own at her latest performance.

Eyes on the prize

We’ll have to wait and see if Gerry follows in Charity’s footsteps, both in finding his perfect partner and joining the exciting dance competition.

For now, Charity’s got her sights set firmly on the prize. After tying for first place this week with Val Chmerkovskiy and Xochitl Gomez, she’s looking forward to Halloween-themed night, which also includes the first group dance of the season.

Her partner, Artem Chigvintsev, teased a “lot of bones” in their individual routine and a focus on learning the group choreography. He shared it would be a busy week and that the duo were super ready.

Watch the latest season of Dancing with the Stars every Tuesday live at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on ABC and Disney+.
