For those who haven’t been following the drama, Erika Jayne told Bravo fans that Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK Kemsley, would be the next Bravo couple to split. Come to find out that Dorit and PK were having some problems in their marriage.
So, during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere, Dorit expected an apology from Erika. However, instead of apologizing, Erika mostly tried to deflect and defend by saying she was “a showman.”
Erika’s behavior led to a confessional from Dorit where she mimicked and mocked the blonde. Dorit said, “That’s not a showman. That’s a bitch.” Her confessional soon went viral across social media, leading everyone to wonder if Erika responded to the sensational clip.
Erika still hasn’t apologized to Dorit
Dorit spoke with The Wrap on October 31, confirming Erika had not spoken to her since the RHOBH premiere. In reflecting on the clip, she said, “I was surprised and excited to see that the fans really enjoyed it. I may not be the one who throws the first punch. But when someone does, I’m always gonna fight back just maybe with a little twinge of humor.”
As for her thoughts on the situation as a whole, Dorit reflected, “A friend doesn’t do that. The retreat was the first time I’d ever spoken to her about it. And I kind of thought that she was going to be a little bit more compassionate and lead with an apology. And so when she didn’t, I was a little bit surprised and taken aback.”
She continued, “And at that point, don’t forget, it was months after. She had plenty of time to kind of sit on it and feel bad. I think she got more heat than applause, let’s put it that way. She was like, ‘Oh, oops, I made a mistake’ but it just didn’t feel very genuine.” Perhaps with so many fans applauding Dorit, Erika will craft a more formal apology.
