Season 15 of RHOA was widely panned by pretty much everyone who endured it. Every Sunday after an episode aired, social media lit up with complaints about the season. By the fourth episode, Season 15 was losing viewers at an alarming rate.
Now, even the head honcho is echoing those calls for some change in Atlanta. During an interview with Access Hollywood at BravoCon, Andy got real about the future of the franchise, and it’s not looking good for the Season 15 cast.
Change on the horizon
In Season 15, The drama was all over the place, the storylines weren’t coherent, and the ladies didn’t seem excited to be hanging around each other. Even Kenya Moore admitted in an interview that she didn’t feel engaged because of her lackluster co-stars. The only saving grace was the messy dissolution of Drew Sidora’s marriage. So, when Andy sat down with Access Hollywood, the interviewer straight up asked, “Should Atlanta get rebooted?”
After the semi-successful reboot of The Real Housewives of New York City, the “r” word is on everyone’s minds. However, Andy didn’t necessarily say the show needed a full reboot. Instead, he replied, “Atlanta should get tweaked in some way.’
Andy acknowledging the issue with RHOA comes amid rumors that the casting producers have been scouting out new women. An insider close to production claimed, “There has been lots of talk around what kind of reboot.” They continued, “Either a full recast or a Miami-style recast. But a NY recast seems to be what they are looking for. If so, expect a diverse group of affluent women in [their] mid 30’s-40’s.”
