Andy Cohen Teases More to the ‘Story’ Between Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard

Just as eager to see how things play out as the rest of us are, Andy Cohen can’t wait to see how Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard’s breakup goes down on Summer House Season 8. The pair called off their engagement just after filming for the season had concluded.

Production actually extended their schedule after Carl and Lindsay had a huge fight on the final day of shooting. They didn’t want the season to end on a cliffhanger, especially with the couple’s wedding only three months away, so they set up a special shoot just for them. Shockingly, that’s when Carl decided to pull the plug rather than make up.

Though Andy hasn’t seen the footage himself, he says he’s “heard about it.” Lindsay believes that Carl called back the production team so he could break up with her on camera, but Andy thinks there’s more to the story, hinting, “I think that story has not really been told. I think you’ll see it play out.”

The Summer House split was a long time coming

Once news leaked of the broken engagement, there were rumors that Lindsay had been “blindsided” by Carl’s decision to end the relationship. However, another source hinted that the split was “a long time coming.” My money’s on Door Number Two. I always felt Carl and Lindsay were just one match away from a huge explosion. Theirs wasn’t a relationship built to last. Lindsay is just too volatile for the long run, and Carl was basically scared of her.

Carl’s reportedly still paying at least part of the $13,000 a month rental on their shared Manhattan apartment, even though he no longer lives there. That’s how scared he is of Lindsay.

Summer House co-star Paige DeSorbo agrees with me. “I wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle to someone who in the back of their mind is like, ‘I don’t really want to be here,’” she said on an October episode of Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans. “In the long run he did both of them a favor.”

Even though she was sympathetic, Scheana also commended Carl “for ending it if he didn’t feel it was right before going down the aisle.”

“My heart goes out to Lindsay and Carl,” she added. “I know they are both hurting in this. I can’t imagine how Lindsay is feeling after the breakup. They were a few months out from a destination wedding, and he calls it off.”

TELL US – DO YOU THINK CARL AND LINDSAY WERE MEANT TO BE? OR WERE THEY JUST A TRAINWRECK WAITING TO HAPPEN? DO YOU THINK CARL DID THE RIGHT THING WHEN HE BROKE IT OFF?
