When you bring hundreds of Bravloebrities to Las Vegas for BravoCon, you’re guaranteed to see at least one temper tantrum thrown over a minor inconvenience. This year, that temper tantrum allegedly came from Real Housewives of New York City legend Luann de Lesseps. Apparently, the hotel staff displeased Countess Lu, so she let them have it.
Surprisingly, this piping hot tea came courtesy of Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant. The Real Housewives of Potomac duo took to their podcast, Reasonably Shady, to dish on their weekend at BravoCon. During their chat, they claimed that their makeup artist saw the RHONY OG having a full-blown meltdown.
Who’s that hangry Housewife?
While Gizelle and Robyn recapped the highs and lows of the weekend, Gizelle talked about how her poor room service experience. She said it took two and a half hours for her breakfast to arrive and had to pull a “Karen.” She got on her phone and asked to speak with a manager, who explained that the hotel was understaffed. Obviously, they picked the wrong weekend for that.
Gizelle’s response to the bad service was reasonable, not shady. However, Robyn explained that someone else from the Bravoverse wasn’t so reasonable. She said she heard about someone complaining in the lobby.
Robyn said, “Our makeup artist comes to the room, and she doesn’t really watch Bravo so she doesn’t know who was who. She got to my room around 7 in the morning and she was like, ‘There is some lady in the lobby, she is going off on people in the restaurant. She is pissed because the restaurant is not open for breakfast. She is just tearing people apart and going off on people.’”
Money can’t buy you class
Since the makeup artist wasn’t a Bravo fan, she didn’t know exactly who the lady was. She just knew that she was tall with dark hair. That could be anyone! However, Robyn explained how she eventually learned it was Luann.
Robyn continued, “So then we were walking through the hallways at the Forum, and Luann comes walking past and [our makeup artist is] like ‘Yeah, that’s the lady!’”
So, while Gizelle was on the phone complaining to the manager about her breakfast, Luann was in the lobby berating the hotel staff because she couldn’t get hers. With all of those hangry Housewives in the hotel, let’s hope the staff got paid extra for working that weekend.
