Does Erika Jayne Want To Return to Broadway?

In 2020, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne made her Broadway debut. The reality TV star led the cast of the musical Chicago as Roxie Hart and danced and sang her heart out before cutting her run short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just two months after opening, Erika ended her run as Roxie and shared a post that said, “Well, this not the way I wanted to say goodbye to Roxie and my Chicago family, but I have no choice.” She thanked everyone for coming and shared that she felt like she was leaving the Big Apple without really completing her mission.

Broadway comeback for Erika Jayne?

But now it looks like she may yet get the chance to complete her mission. On an Instagram Live, Erika revealed that she was being given a chance to make a return to the Great White Way. When her friend and creative partner Mikey Mindin asked if she would ever do Broadway again, she quickly replied.

“Yes, I would do Broadway again. I really would. And they asked, but I was busy with something else. But, yes, I would love to go back.”

One of her current biggest commitments, keeping her from the lights of New York, is her residency in Las Vegas. She leads the Bet it All on Blonde show, at the House of Blues in Sin City. Erika began her show in August and has dates remaining until December. Some of her closest RHOBH friends, including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, and Dorit Kemsley, have seen it.

Erika went on to share that if she played Roxie again, it would be a whole different kind of Roxie. Understandably so, considering her life experiences these past several years.

“There’s a funny thing where life imitates art,” she said. “But sometimes art imitates life. When I was doing Roxie, my life was falling apart, which not a lot of people know,” Erika shared. “And after March 2020, my life continued falling apart with so many parallels to the way Roxie did. So, if I went back and played Roxie now, there’d be so much more understanding. It would be a very different Roxie for a lot of different reasons.”

Honestly, that would be interesting to watch. And oddly enough, Erika isn’t the only RHOBH star to play the feisty jailbird in Chicago. Lisa Rinna performed Roxie alongside her husband, Harry Hamlin, as Billy Flynn in 2007.
