Below Deck Med Editor Arrested for Felony Child Abuse of Six-Year-Old Son

Trigger Warning: Please be advised this article contains discussion of child abuse and domestic violence.

Clear up some space in the jail. It looks like the state of California is about to get a new inmate. A shocking thread hit X, formerly known as Twitter, from a user named Beks, @antifaoperative. The posts revealed that a Below Deck Mediterranean editor named Christopher Charkowski was charged with felony child abuse.

Beks is a friend of Christopher’s wife, and they shared copies of the legal documents along with videos documenting some of the abuse. They have all of the receipts, and the accusations are disturbing.

Horrific allegations of abuse

According to his IMDb, Christopher worked on dozens and dozens of episodes of Below Deck Med and classic Below Deck. He was also the lead editor for the Emmy-nominated series Jury Duty and has worked on numerous standup comedy specials. However, the videos and legal documents shared by Beks describe a serial abuser.

On Twitter, Beks wrote, “Below Deck Mediterranean & Jury Duty editor, Christopher Charkowski, has been arrested for felony child abuse of his 6-year-old son.”

Beks uploaded copies of the legal documents and continued, “Christopher Charkowski, 39, editor for multiple shows including Below Deck Mediterranean & Jury Duty, has been charged with felony aggravated child endangerment.”

In the thread, Beks shared horrific videos from the Charkowskis’ in-home security camera. In one clip, Christopher screamed at his six-year-old son and appeared to punch him repeatedly. Two other kids were in the room at the time of the attack.

Along with the video, Beks wrote, “If this is how Mr. Charkowski treats his children when he knows he’s on camera, imagine what he does to them when he’s not.”

In a second clip, Christopher threatened to kill his wife. He shouted, “I’m gonna f*ckin’ murder her, then I’m gonna kill myself.”

According to the legal docs, Christopher showed a lack of remorse, adding another disturbing layer to this. He is currently out on bond. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison.

Bravo has not commented on the shocking allegations. However, it’s probably safe to say that this monster probably won’t be returning to his position behind the scenes at Below Deck.
