The Traitors Season 2 Alliances Explained and Ranked

If you are anything like me, you’re addicted to The Traitors Season 2 because it is everything. I am loving that Peacock put together OG reality stars from back in the day, which gives me a nostalgic feeling. The new season has so many champions it is hard to pick the MVP, but I have ideas. While Season 1 featured both normies and celebrities, Season 2 only features the reality TV stars that made the niche what it is today. The skill and strategy are at an all-time high with these players, and there will be no mercy amongst the wicked. The Traitors Season 2 alliances in particular have made the game more interesting, and here’s how they measure up.

Real Housewives Club

There is enough scheming on any Real Housewives franchise to make any one of these women a possible winner. Larsa Pippen, Phaedra Parks, Shereé Whitfield, and Tamra Judge have all had their fair share of screen time and know exactly what viewers want to see. This alliance is strong because the women have a sorority with a hard bond to break. Even though they currently claim not to be working together, it is obvious they are looking out for one another.

Phaedra, even though a traitor, wouldn’t allow Shereé to be poisoned on her watch, proving the respect goes deep. My only concern is the Real Housewives have never played for money or had to really scheme. It’s one thing to steal away one another’s glam squad. However, it is a totally different ball game when it comes to winning challenges. While I can see Phaedra coming out on top as a traitor, I don’t see the group winning as a whole.

The Challenge Club

I am coming clean right now—my picks for the clear winner are going to be The Challenge crew, with a special nod to CT Tamburello. This group also included Trishelle Cannatella and Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, but sadly, the latter was the first one voted out. Now, this group brings me back to 2003 when the Real World Pairs first aired. Since then, all three of these stars have performed well on MTV’s The Challenge, earning them their veteran status.

With Johnny gone, CT has the strength, wits, and brains to win this contest. Sadly, I think he will have to worry about being a target, as Larsa already tried, and thankfully failed, to take him out. With Trishelle by his side, I believe the two have what it takes to keep winning the prize money for the group and to deduce who the traitors are. However, I do think that The Traitors is deductive reasoning heavy and both may lack that trait. If there were more physical tasks, they would be a shoo-in to win.

Big Brother is Watching

As they say, Big Brother is always watching. And ain’t that the truth? With Janelle Pierzina and Dan Gheesling, the house is stacked with heavy hitters. Janelle is known for her 6th, 7th, 14th, and 22nd seasons and branded herself as ruthless. She a part of the Sovereign Six Alliance in Season 7. During that season, Janelle set the record for most individual competitions won in a single season. She’s one tough cookie, and it makes sense why she earned the name, the Queen of Big Brother.

With a nickname like Judas, Dan the Man is not to be trusted. However, he knows how to manipulate those around him. Dan made some of the best strategic moves of the game and won Season 10. I am really enjoying watching how Dan is currently playing The Traitors Season 2 as a traitor. He is using others to do his dirty work and is all about having his eyes on the prize. I do believe the traitors will benefit from having him on their side.

Survivor Matriarchs

I knew who these two women were the moment the cameras scanned the newest group. Sandra Diaz-Twine and Parvati Shallow are Survivor royalty. Even though I hate watching Parvati scrunch her face during literally every scene, she did know just how to poison her target. Sandra was the first two-time winner in the history of the game show, with Parvati winning one season. Between Parvati’s black widow flirting and Sandra’s cunning wit, these two are not to be underestimated.

Sandra has made it clear that she will make it her mission to gather all the information she can to make an informed decision on who the traitors might be. Little does she know that one of her kinsmen is the enemy. Survivors are meant to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast, but I think we might be surprised to see how well others tweak their game to beat the islanders.
