Ariana Madix’s Chicago Rehearsal Footage Revealed

And she’s opening on Broadway! Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix can now add another dream fulfilled as she takes on the iconic role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical Chicago.

Ariana spoke to PEOPLE and gave the publication a sneak peek at her performing one of the most recognizable dances of all time for the end of the show, choreographed by the late dance legend Bob Fosse for Chicago’s 1975 production and performed by several stage legends.

On the heels of her Dancing with the Stars stint, Ariana has proven that she’s good at picking up choreography and appears quite comfortable doing the dance steps, even alongside Broadway professionals.

This may stem from her background in musical theatre and her previous dreams of performing on the main stage of Broadway. She gave it a shot and tried some auditions previously before landing on Vanderpump Rules.

And now, after a decade of reality TV experience and one very traumatizing Scandoval incident, her dreams of being on Broadway are finally coming true.

“To say this the fulfillment of a lifelong dream would be an understatement she shared at the Chicago press conference. “This is quite literally everything to me. I feel so beyond grateful.”

She even references the popular Broadway hit Hamilton when she says she’s not going to throw away her shot. “When I go out there, I want people to say, ‘She belongs here.’ I don’t what people think I got cast because of anything else.”

Heartfelt Roxie

And Roxie is a perfect role for the reality TV star, as she can understand how it feels to rise to fame on the heels of a tragic headline-making relationship ending. And while murder did not factor into Ariana’s experience, the press was no less obsessed with Scandoval, and they were with Roxie’s crime of passion.

However, Ariana said that that’s not the part of Roxie’s character that she relates with, “Honestly, I connect most with Roxie’s hope that her performing dreams might come true,” she explained.

Ariana also understands a message Roxie hasn’t learned yet in the show — that fame can’t be a motivator. “As nice as it can be, that’s not the goal,” she stressed. “Ultimately, I want to be able to work. When I agreed to do Vanderpump, I hoped it would help me get more work and not just fame.”

Ariana appears as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway from January 29 to March 24.
