Teddi Mellencamp Sets Her Focus for 2024 Amid Melanoma Battle

Teddi Mellencamp talks about all kinds of Bravolebrity drama on her podcast Two T’s In A Pod. But the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has serious matters to discuss when it comes to the two-year battle she’s had with melanoma.

Teddi has used her platform on Instagram in that time to raise awareness on the issue and connect with her fans. Sometimes, it’s a raw and honest message. Other times, Teddi is upbeat and positive. And it’s all part of her story.

Teddi is working to be her “strongest self”

Most recently, the former Bravolebrity shared a series of pictures of herself in a pink bikini to Instagram. One showed off the surgical scar from her most recent incision six weeks ago to remove her thirteenth melanoma.

Teddi revealed that she likes to “choose my word for the year.” After “consistently joking” that her word for 2024 “would be ‘cope,'” she decided to change it to “strength.”

“[Cope] was my mindset after all of the highs and lows from my almost two years of dealing with melanoma,” the RHOBH alum wrote. “Every time I started to feel like ‘me’ again, BAM, another reared its ugly head. Another surgery on the books, another round of fear of not being enough for anyone – all overshadowed how I wanted to truly feel about myself.”

“I had convinced myself that this state of constant crushing anxiety was the new me and I just had to learn to ‘cope.’ But the truth is, EFF THAT,” Teddi explained.

Currently, Teddi is in a really positive place medicially, and was “cleared to do whatever it is [she] wants” six weeks post surgery.

“And I want to be strong. I will be strong,” she declared.

The Two T’s In A Pod podcast co-host listed a series of negative questions that weigh her down at times, including “what if I die?” But Teddi explained her new mindset.

“I am now focusing on how I can be the strongest version of me possible,” she revealed. “I am committing to being in the best mental and physical shape I can be in. This year my primary focus (in addition to my fam) will be becoming my STRONGEST self yet.”

Finally, the accountability coach looked back to her roots and pulled on what made her so successful.

She added, “I started this Instagram 9-years-ago to hold myself accountable to changing my life. I’m doing it all over again right now.”
