Jo Wenberg, the latest addition to the Vanderpump Rules cast and Tom Schwartz’s buddy, debuted on the show amidst a whirlwind of fan reactions. She’s stepping into the Bravo universe with an open heart and a thick skin, not letting the mixed bag of responses from viewers dim her spirits.

In a candid moment shared on her Instagram Story, Jo addressed the buzz, admitting, “Oh man. I can’t. Lots of hate. However, lots of love too. So we’re just gonna keep riding this wave.”

As Pump Rules Season 11 continues, we’re sure to see more of Jo. Let’s hope the “hate” can simmer down.

Plunging into reality TV is no small feat. And Jo is feeling the weight of her new role amidst backlash. Despite the challenges, she remains grateful for the support from many fans.

“We’re gonna keep going, and it’s gonna be alright. I’m new to this whole Vanderpump Rules scene, so it’s a bit like being caught between a rock and a hard place. But seriously, thanks to everyone who’s been kind.”

During her memorable first scene, viewers watched as Jo trimmed Tom’s hair. They enjoyed playful banter about payment options, including the humorous offer of “cash or a trip to Olive Garden.”

Tom, in a moment of reflection, shed light on their relationship, emphasizing, “Jo is a human being — a light in my life. She wasn’t living with me, but yes, she stayed over sometimes. She’s not my girlfriend; we had a moment but are just friends now.”

The intrigue around Jo and Tom’s dynamic was further explored when Tom admitted to “mixed signals” and described their connection as a “lightning in a bottle” moment that wasn’t sustainable due to his mental state at the time.

A rocky start

Before her screen time, Jo was already a topic of conversation in Season 10, linked to Tom after his divorce from Katie Maloney. Katie herself has been vocal about her feelings toward Jo, leaving no room for interpretation of her stance.

Despite the drama and intense scrutiny, Jo remains reflective about her journey on the show, acknowledging the challenge of transitioning from behind the camera to being in the spotlight. “Filming this season was eye-opening,” she shared, thanking the producers for their support through the experience.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
