With the premier of Summer House Season 8, the long wait to see how Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke spent their last summer together ended. The formerly betrothed couple missed out on the first weekend of filming, choosing instead to be in Washington D.C. However, clips and sneak-peeks show trouble in paradise throughout the course of summer 2023.
The break up occurred in August 2023. But because both Summer House stars remained mum on the matter, interest is still there. Lindsay and Carl have both, albeit it seperately, done interviews ahead the Season 8 premier about their breakup. And the professional publicist is still speaking about that bleak time, and how she got through the heartbreak.
Lindsay’s friends and family “grounded” her
In an exclusive interview with Refinery29, the Bravolebrity gave an update on how’s she’s doing, as well as sharing how her friendships pulled her through.
Lindsay revealed how she tried to escape the unplanned reality initially. The reality TV star was asked what helped her “heal.”
“The difficult thing to navigate is always, for me and probably for most people, the uncertainty of the future,” Lindsay replied. “I had a very certain future and then all of a sudden it became very uncertain. The unknown is definitely scary. The thing that has always grounded me is my friends and my family, they’ve helped me do a lot of healing.”
The interviewer followed up with a question about her co-stars.
“Is there anyone from the Summer House cast who has really stepped up to support you or anyone who you feel maybe is a little you’re a little disappointed hasn’t as much?” she asked.
“Gabby Prescod has been incredible, she is so highly emotionally intelligent,” the Bravolebrity ansered. “I love sitting down with Gabby and just putting our detective hats on and really getting deep and figuring out why things happen the way that they do. Danielle [Olivera] was incredible right after the breakup and continues to be there for me. The other girls all reached out and showed their support and just love. It’s hard, right, you have two people on the same show who have different relationships with everyone and it puts everyone in an awkward position, but everyone’s just been incredible. Really truly, there’s no disappointment with anyone.”
Perhaps Summer House fans will get a glimpse of that support system after the former couple have their “breakup conversation.” It’s interesting to note whether Bravo cameras caught any of this aftermath.
