Love Is Blind star Matthew Duliba had a tough run on Season 6 of the Netflix series. After breakout star AD Smith caught wind that he was having the same conversations with her and another contestant, she called things off with him. But that didn’t stop the heat from coming his way.
Once the show aired, Matthew was bombarded with fan opinions and think pieces. Clearly, it was too much for the reality star to handle, as he skipped the sit-down reunion with hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey. However, he recently answered a few questions on his Instagram about his absence, life in front of the cameras, and his new love.
Matthew slams Netflix producers for editing on Love Is Blind
Since Matthew was noticeably absent from the second half of the season, watchers have wondered a lot about the seemingly mysterious reality star. When someone asked why he skipped the reunion, he said it came down to the editors and the show’s producers. “Not going back into a situation where they maintain editing,” he wrote.
Matthew isn’t the first cast member to complain about editing. Jimmy Presnell also commented on things conveniently being left out of his storyline with Chelsea Blackwell and Jessica Vestal.
Another user asked if Matthew understood the risks of going on reality television. “I didn’t think they could cut and paste sentences; if I would’ve known that, I wouldn’t have done it,” he replied.
Regarding his love life, Matthew revealed he’s been dating someone new since Love Is Blind. “Funny you should ask,” he replied to someone asking if he dates “Spanish/Latin” women. He showed a photo of his girlfriend, Vanessa, and wrote, “This picture was taken the same day as the reunion. We went to the Charlotte FC soccer game with friends.”
