Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are still feuding amid their separation. On The Valley, Brittany defends Jax’s often crass behavior. The estranged couple discussed that, and more on a recent episode of their podcast.
“I’m always trying to apologize for Jax,” she said. “[I] try to make him look better in the situations that he stirs up. I’ve done it for nine years for you,” she added. “I know. That’s just how loyal and a ride-or-die for the person that I was married to.” He responded, saying, “You are married to.”
Then they got into a heated argument and it all went down on When Reality Hits.

Later, during their conversation, Jax and Brittany continued fighting after the former said he “created” Bravo’s newest reality show, The Valley. Brittany fired back, saying she “cannot stand” when he takes the credit since she was with him “every step of the way.”
Season 1 of The Valley features Jax, Brittany, and many of their friends, including Kristen Doute and her boyfriend, Luke Broderick.
Brittany revealed days before the show aired that she and Jax were taking time apart for their child, Cruz.
“Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said. “I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about, and I’m taking things one day at a time. I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”
What led to their separation is suspected to play out during the rest of The Valley’s first season. In addition to Jax and Brittany, viewers may also get a glimpse of what caused Jesse Lally’s split from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Michelle Lally.
