Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard is back for their second season, and they’re already coming out of the gate swinging. Episode 1 aired on March 24 and showcased the 10 houseguests, plus newbie Noelle, landing on the Vineyard for another year of drinks, good food, and an exciting vacation with their best friends. But the fun times didn’t last long. The episode ended with Preston and Bria bumping heads over a misunderstanding, Jasmine and Jordan bringing up their unresolved issues, and Summer revealing HOT tea that she slept with Alex after Season 1’s outing. What could Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2, Episode 2 bring? All of that AND more. Here’s everything that went down in Episode 2 of SHMV: “Jealousy, Jobs, & Judgment.”

Summer’s bluntness was a dagger to Shanice’s heart

Noelle stepped up to the plate to deliver the season’s first theme party. Since it was a “decades” party, the cast had to show up as people from different eras. Nick dressed the part of Arthur Ashe (three-time Grand Slam winner), Bria arrived as a 2000s rapper, and Jasmine was a ’50s Housewife.

When the party ended, they began playing a card game with questions and prompts. Shanice pulled her card first, which said everybody had to take a shot. While Shanice was preparing the drinks in the kitchen, Amir pulled his card: Who is the worst dresser in the group?

Summer jumped to answer, saying she believed it to be Shanice. When the latter returned to the living room with everybody’s drinks, she asked them why they thought she was the worst dressed. “Cause I’m the realest one, and y’all wear fake sh*t,” she said before storming off to her room.

When Bria went to check on her, Shanice revealed that she’d been having a difficult time since being fired from her job. “I don’t have any money to buy clothes,” she said. “Summer’s comment … deep down hurt [me],” she told producers during her confessional.

“The trip was pre-planned. So, I’m here, but I can’t do certain things. Summer knows that, so her bringing that up — it’s hurt me. It hurts a lot.”

Summer, Alex … and Noelle?

Now that the cat is out of the bag and the rest of the house knows Summer and Alex slept together — people can’t stop talking about it. Nick asked Alex whether he’d “re-beat” or not. For those wondering what “re-beat” means … look no further. According to Nick himself, “The definition of beat … the delicate way to put it is ‘intimacy.’ You have a ‘beat,’ and if you’ve done it already … that’s a ‘re-beat.’”

Alex told Nick and Amir he wasn’t interested in exploring things further with Summer because he noticed a few red flags when they were hanging out. He noted the photo Summer snapped of him in LA that she sent to Jordan. “I felt like I couldn’t trust her. It was kind of creepy,” he said. “Had I been thinking with my head and not my [redacted], I would’ve caught some of these red flags.”

Later, Summer discussed her hook-up with Alex with some others in the house. When Preston asked her how the sex was, she hinted that it wasn’t so great. “You know, it wasn’t as passionate as I’d like,” she told producers. “Alex is a great kisser. It’s not quickies. But, it’s just not there yet.” Whew. Alex, on the other hand, chose not to answer the question about his sex life with Summer.

Noelle’s confused

During a separate conversation, Noelle spoke to Jasmine, Shanice, and Bria about her confusion with Summer and Alex’s relationship. Noelle revealed in her confessional that she asked Summer before arriving at the Vineyard what the status was between her and Alex.

According to Noelle, Summer said things between them were cool as they only hung out a few times. “Hanging out and having sex [are] two different things,” she said to the cameras. “You’re supposed to be my girl; like, you can’t even keep it real with me?”

Summer and Noelle were able to speak alone about the confusion. “I know we had our conversation about Alex,” Noelle told Summer. She continued, saying she did realize they had sex. “I didn’t know he f*cked,” she said. After Summer gave Noelle the run-down, she said there were no feelings for Alex and their situationship was just “convenient.”

“I’m not interested in Alex because I see other people,” Summer said.

When Summer went to the Truth Booth (a room in the house for the cast to share their feelings in the moment), she slammed Noelle for being naïve. “When you say, ‘You and someone are hanging out,’ that’s like saying, ‘You and I do shit.’ I don’t owe you an explanation of what I do with that person if you don’t even f*cking know that person. And now she’s irritated that I didn’t tell her enough, but you wanted to pursue the man that I hung out with.”

The girls (and Preston) start side-eyeing Nick

Later in the episode, the cast split up to take part in different activities. Jordan, Preston, and Summer went to brunch while the rest of the crew went to work out with Amir.

In the car ride to brunch, Jordan told the others that Nick had been starting to frustrate her. “He just is on my body,” she said. “He was on mine, too,” Summer added.

When everyone returned to the house from their excursions, the men spent time in the basement talking about the women. Alex asked Amir whether his girlfriend was nervous about any of the girls potentially crossing a line. Nick responded, saying Amir needs to adopt his strategy: “…just sit there,” he said.

“You think that’s what you do?” Preston asked. “You don’t know that you can get a little handsy?” Nick seemed shocked. In fact, he said he was perplexed because the women (Jordan and Summer) hadn’t said anything negative to him about his touchy nature. “We kick it so often, it’s like, why haven’t you said anything if this is a thing? It doesn’t make any sense,” he said in his confessional.

The episode ended with Nick asking Jordan and Summer if he’s ever made them uncomfortable. “You do get handsy,” Jordan said, to which Summer added, “That.”

What could next week’s episode bring? According to the preview — even MORE drama. And you know we’ll be here to talk about it.

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard continues on Sundays at 9/8c.
