Now that Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor is over, it is time to look forward to The Bachelorette. Many viewers were shocked when Jenn Tran was announced as the Season 21 lead, as they were expecting either Maria Georgas or Daisy Kent. While Jenn’s casting certainly comes as a surprise, it is for the best. Jenn has many qualities that will make her an amazing Bachelorette, and we can’t wait to watch her find the love of her life!
Jenn is ready for love
Jenn is the perfect choice for the Bachelorette because she is ready to find love. Throughout her time on Joey’s season, it was clear that Jenn was there with the right intentions. While some women go on The Bachelorette for clout or Instagram followers, it was evident that Jenn was really there to build a connection with Joey.
While some fans were hoping that Daisy would be the next lead, it is probably for the best that she isn’t. During The Bachelor Season 28 finale, Jesse Palmer asked Daisy if she was ready to date again. Daisy admitted that she wasn’t, which is perfectly fine. It’s a good thing that Daisy was honest with herself, as it wouldn’t be fair for the men cast to have a lead who isn’t ready. Jenn, on the other hand, seems very ready to take on the role.
Jenn will be the first Asian American lead
Jenn will make history as the first Asian American Bachelorette, as well as by being the first Asian American lead the franchise has ever had. This is extremely important, as Bachelor Nation sometimes lacks when it comes to diversity.
After being announced as the Bachelorette, Jenn explained that growing up she never saw anyone that looked like her find love on TV. Jenn’s casting will surely make a huge difference in the lives of many young Asian girls, who are finally getting the representation they deserve.
In addition to some much-needed representation, Jenn’s story will resonate with viewers of immigrant parents from any background. During Joey’s season, Jenn opened up about her mom struggling to understand American culture after growing up in Vietnam. As a result, Jenn had never introduced a man to her family before. This is something a lot of people can relate to, which hasn’t really been represented on any Bachelor show before.
Jenn has beauty & brains
One of Jenn’s most impressive qualities apart from her beauty is her intelligence. Jenn is currently a PA student, and she is working toward becoming a physician’s assistant. This is no small feat and really shows how hardworking and determined Jenn is.
I hate to say it, but when it comes to The Bachelor there is not always a huge variety of careers among the contestants. Some of the most popular job titles we see every season include account executives, project managers, and nurses. After their time on the show, it is also not uncommon to see many of the cast members become full-time social media influencers.
Jenn, on the other hand, defies this stereotype. It is very rare to see anyone on The Bachelor be a student of any sort, which is impressive on its own. The fact that Jenn is a woman in STEM is a huge inspiration to viewers at home. Jenn is proving that you can be incredibly successful, while also being able to star on a show like The Bachelorette. We love this for her!
Jenn was a lot of fun on The Bachelor
From the minute she arrived at The Bachelor mansion, it was clear that Jenn knew how to have a good time. Jenn pulled up to the mansion in a race car on night one and raced outside with Joey later that night. I always give credit to the contestants who get creative with their entrances, as first impressions are extra important on The Bachelor.
Later on, Joey chose Jenn for the second one-on-one date of the season. Despite being nervous, Jenn fully jumped into their surfing date. This is an important trait of any Bachelor Nation lead, as they participate in all sorts of crazy dates throughout the season. Jenn will tackle whatever comes her way, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for her on The Bachelorette Season 21!
