Hayley Erbert Cleared To Make Dance Return Following Emergency Brain Surgeries

Hayley Erbert will soon be performing in front of fans once again, as she’s been cleared to return to dance. Dancing with the Stars fans know her as the wife of longtime dancer and judge, Derek Hough. Of course, superfans know that Hayley is quite the dancer herself.

The two were married about seven months ago. But tragedy struck when Hayley was unexpectedly hospitalized, diagnosed with a cranial hematoma, and underwent emergency surgery.

Hayley reached a stable condition but remained hospitalized and underwent a second surgery during her recovery. But her time on the mend appeared to do her wonders as she’ll soon hit the dance floor once again.

Hayley will dance on April 14

In a video shared to her Instagram Stories on April 5, Hayley shared the news. “I am so excited to announce that I have been cleared to rejoin the Symphony of Dance tour,” she revealed, “and I will be dancing when the tour begins on April 14 in Melbourne, Fla.”

Derek, who was seated there beside her, also spoke. He added: “We cannot wait to dance together again on stage and be back with all our fans, and thank them. Thank you for all the amazing support that you’ve shown during this time. We cannot wait.”

On the same day, Hayley posted a video to her feed showing her rehearsing with Derek. “What a blessing (and surprise) it is to be able to be back on stage dancing with my love after such a crazy past four months,” she wrote in the caption.

“My healing journey has been nothing short of extraordinary and being able to dance again is igniting my soul in all the ways; speeding up my recovery even more.”

She thanked her doctors and specialists before telling fans, “I cannot wait for you all to see this show! It was so meaningful when we opened last year and now, after everything that has happened, it is truly even more special.”
