Kyle Cooke Reflects on Past Infidelity: ‘I Have To Own It’

For those who have been keeping up with Season 8 of Summer House, you know Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are struggling.

The reality stars have been feuding incessantly over their business, life in the suburbs, and when Kyle will grow up. The last episode gave viewers a closer look at their problems, with Kyle telling Amanda he feels “lonely” in their relationship. Conversely, Amanda’s frustrations stem from Kyle’s constant need to be out until 4 A.M. in the city. Many will remember the earlier season when Kyle cheated on Amanda during a drunken night out.

Although it is frustrating to continuously have this thrown in his face, Kyle told Andy Cohen that he has to “own it.”

Kyle says he can’t “erase” and “fix” his past transgressions…

Most watchers would agree with Amanda that it’s hard to trust Kyle completely. He gets it, though, and explained on WWHL that he’s trying to make up for his past behavior.

“I can’t erase [it] and fix [it],” he said. “I would like to think that time heals all wounds. Every single time I find myself getting … angry or upset, I have to remind myself that there’s a past I can’t change. And I have to own it. So, it pulls at my heart.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, Amanda revealed that hearing the outside noise about her relationship makes the healing process much more challenging.

“Everyone [is] rooting against us and making bets on when we’ll get divorced and how long we’ll be together and how he deserves better, or I deserve better,” she said. “It’s seeing that all the time really makes you question your own relationship.”

Keep watching Summer House on Thursdays at 9/8c.
