Kyle Cooke Answers Tough Questions About Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard

On April 11, Kyle Cooke spent time in the Clubhouse with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

Of course, Andy had a few questions for the Summer House star about his friends Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard. Viewers of Season 8 are currently watching the relationship between the formerly engaged couple unravel week by week. We all know the engagement was called off in September 2023, just weeks before the wedding date.

Kyle was there to pour the tea on exactly what he witnessed happening with Carl and Lindsay.

“Carl cast Kyle [as a] ‘flower boy’ at his wedding,” Andy began, “though he never ended up performing the role.”

Because Kyle never got to fulfill his job at the wedding, Andy invited him to play “Flower Boys Will Be Boys.” He even included a cute, little pearl-handled basket of flowers for Kyle to hold.

“I’m gonna ask you thorny questions about everyone’s favorite snapdragons, Carl and Lindsay,” Andy announced. “Kyle, every time you answer, soften the blow by tossing a handful of petals like the flower boy you were born to be!”

“If you could pinpoint one moment this summer that was the catalyst for Carl breaking off the engagement, what would it be?” Andy asked.

“Phew,” Kyle huffed, momentarily stumped. “Multiple late-night conversations,” he finally responded, tossing petals. I believe Kyle was referring to all the arguments Carl and drunk Lindsay had in which she questioned his sobriety.

“As you watch this season and see the moments between Carl and Lindsay that happened behind closed doors,” Andy continued, “what do you find to be the most illuminating thing you witnessed in terms of providing context to their breakup?”

“Similar to the summer before with Danielle,” Kyle responded, “I just didn’t think they were speaking the same language or on the same page.” That was very perceptive.

Someone who can make a sandwich

“What kind of guy do you think Lindsay needs in order to fully settle down,” Andy wondered.

“A deli owner,” Kyle joked. Get it? So he could make her a sandwich? Somewhere Stephen Traversie is having the last laugh.

“What type of girl do you think Carl needs to settle down?” Andy asked.

“Maybe a little less Alpha,” Kyle thought, tossing petals. Or maybe someone sober who understands what he’s going through would be nice. Carl needs a sober companion so that they can support each other.

Finally, Andy asks the question everyone has wanted to know the answer to ever since Carl and Kyle sat in that 1986 Corvette in the backyard. “On a scale of one to ten, how pissed were you to be offered the role of flower boy?” Especially after Carl officiated at Kyle and Amanda Batula’s wedding.

“I was thoroughly confused in the moment,” Kyle said. “I only got a little frustrated when people shed light on the demotion.”

“On a scale of one to ten,” Andy went on, “how did you feel hearing Lindsay at the end of the episode talk about her good fortune of marrying her best friend?”

“My heart still goes out,” Kyle responded. “I know she was, like, this close to … marrying someone that she cared for, despite what we’re watching, and starting a family, which she clearly wants … I saw her at a wedding this past weekend, and I said, ‘I’m sorry.'”

Summer House continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
