Despite the troubles Jax Taylor has had with Brittany Cartwright over the last few months, the former Vanderpump Rules star said it has nothing to do with cheating.
In fact, Jax addressed the rumors that he had stepped out of his marriage with his publicist, Lori, saying the chatter was nothing but lies. “Oh, that, not again. That was all just hearsay, and it’s just a shame that that happened,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “But yeah, no, nothing happened there.”
Brittany and Jax discussed the allegations in April 2024, saying they both have a close relationship with Lori. “It was cracking me up how everyone was going crazy about that picture you posted with our publicist Lori,” Brittany said. “I don’t know if people know this or not, but Lori’s been in our lives — she’s not only been in our lives, it’s been in Tom [Schwartz’s] life, it’s been in Kristen [Doute’s] life, Brittany’s life,” Jax added.
Jax hopes that working on himself will bring Brittany back to him…
Brittany and Jax shocked the Bravoverse with news of their split in February 2024. After revealing she moved out of their shared home, Brittany asked listeners of her podcast to pray for her, Jax, and their son, Cruz.
Today, Jax said they’re working on figuring things out. “I’ve given you real-time, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I am definitely working on myself right now,” he said.
He did, however, clarify that there was no infidelity and explained their separation boiled down to communication issues. “No no, and everybody just assumes when there’s a split there’s infidelity and there’s cheating. Believe it or not, there are other reasons too. I know I don’t have the best track record but no this was just a communication thing.”
“The separation has definitely been good for me, but I do miss her. I miss her a lot. So, I don’t know, we’ll see if she’ll take me back.”
As Season 1 of The Valley continues to unfold, viewers will hopefully get a closer look at what led to their downfall.
