Summer House fans are still reeling from the long-awaited breakup scene between Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard. And now it’s time to watch the reunion, where the formerly betrothed couple will be face-to-face for the first time since their split.
Lindsay will certainly have her say. And Kyle Cooke will come to the defense of his friend. But what can fans expect from the rest of the cast in terms of reactions to the ill-fated betrothal?
Danielle “was OK” with Carl at the reunion
“It was nice to hear his side,” Danielle Olivera exclusively told Us Weekly on her experience at the reunion. “I think after all of that went down, I truly wanted to talk to him about it.”
The Donne app founder admitted that time calmed her emotions on the matter. Danielle is good friends with both Carl and Lindsay, and fans were expecting her to come to the former publicist’s defense.
“I wanted to yell at him about it really in real-time,” she explained. “But now a lot of time has passed, and [at] the reunion, I was OK.”
As the cast relieved the drama at the Season 8 reunion, Carl explained why he pulled the plug on his relationship with Lindsay. And Danielle admitted that she “could see both sides.”
Initially, the reality TV star cut ties with Carl, to show solidarity with her friend. Much in the same manner as Charlotte did Mr. Big in the 2008 Sex and the City movie after he left Carrie at the alter.
Danielle gave a nod to the beloved movie when she explained how matters have thawed between herself and Carl.
“He lives in Brooklyn. I run into him out here, I live in Brooklyn as well, and I don’t feel like Charlotte as much,” she said. “I don’t curse the day he was born as much.”
It’s something that “happens with time, and that happens with seeing both sides. I wish I could say I hated him. I don’t,” Danielle said.
Danielle thinks “more time is needed” for Lindsay and Carl to be able to film together
Cameras will start rolling again soon to film Summer House Season 9. Danielle doesn’t see how the former couple will be able to film together at this point.
“In this world where we are meant to film together or whatever, but this one is a bigger animal,” Danielle opined. “They were engaged and now they’re not. So maybe even more time is needed in order for that to happen.”
More feuds than one have occurred within the cast, and the Winter House star admitted that she “didn’t know that I could share a house again with Lindsay after what happened [between us in Season 7]. It’s crazy how time really heals it.”
