The relationship between Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore has been complicated for years. Remember how they randomly fell out during the first season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip? Well, now that Kenya’s drama with the Brit Eady photos has come to the surface, things between the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars are even messier.
On RHOA Season 16, Episode 5, Kenya put Brit on blast with a series of posters showing suggestive photos of the RHOA newbie. Cynthia immediately condemned Kenya’s actions, but she hasn’t spoken to her since that fateful day. However, it sounds like she’s ready to change that.
Cynthia Bailey is “ready to talk” to Kenya Moore after her Brit Eady chaos on RHOA Season 16
The Kenya Moore Hair Spa grand opening happened in June 2024. That means Cynthia and Kenya haven’t spoken in over ten months. That’s a long time for two people who are supposedly “friends,” and Cynthia explained to Us Weekly why their friendship has been rocky.
“I know Kenya. I just held her to a standard that I hold for my friends, and I just felt like it was not good for Kenya,” Cynthia said of the drama.
She continued, “I just felt like she was bigger. I felt the way she responded was beneath her.”
This is a similar sentiment to what Cynthia told Kenya at the grand opening. Just moments after Kenya pulled her stunt, Cynthia expressed her dissatisfaction with how things played out. She wanted Kenya to focus on her business rather than Brit threatening her with a pistol.
“I know how hard she’s been working on that and this is a lifelong dream of hers,” Cynthia recalled. “It’s just really unfortunate that it was overshadowed by the events that took place.”
It’s not totally clear why the former RHOA castmates haven’t spoken since the drama at the hair spa, but Cynthia claimed she was ready to break the ice. I hope there’s a camera to capture that conversation.
“At the end of the day, I have a real friendship with Kenya, and she knows that when she’s ready to talk, I am here,” Cynthia said. “I will be happy to pick up where we left off.”
