In the latest episode of Survivor 48, David Kinne got blindsided by his allies. He thought he was in good standing, but at the Tribal Council, he became the latest castaway to get kicked off the island. You know that’s not a good feeling, but then, things got worse for David when he got home.
David Kinne’s girlfriend left him after he lost Survivor 48

Throughout the season, David explained how his girlfriend threatened to dump him if he didn’t win the show. We thought he was joking, but apparently, he was completely serious. When his girlfriend found out that David didn’t come home a champion, she turned around and dumped him.
David got eliminated in the April 23 episode of Survivor, and he confirmed his breakup to Entertainment Weekly during a subsequent exit interview. His ex must have really been banking on getting a cut of that $ 1 million prize money.
“Well, a few weeks after she found out I didn’t win, she was out the door. So, as many people probably laughed at that whole thing, it was unfortunately true,” David confessed.
Losing Survivor and losing your girlfriend all in one swoop is a lot to comprehend. However, David said that things are looking up in his world these days. Ten months later, he has found a new girlfriend, and he’s a winner in her eyes. Who needs $1 million when you have someone supportive waiting for you at home?
“I’m dating the most incredible woman. She’s phenomenal. I’m truly feeling blessed right now,” David said. “I’m almost glad I didn’t win a million dollars.”
Survivor Season 48 continues on CBS every Wednesday at 8/7c.
