When it comes to PK Kemsley and Dorit Kemsley’s divorce proceedings, the details are a bit murky. The couple was married for 10 years, and Season 14 shows them navigating their separation. Both said some mean things about one another’s characters. With rumors spinning around, many wonder if the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pair were having secret money issues.

PK Kemsley and Dorit Kemsley might lose their Encino home

According to The U.S Sun, PK and Dorit are looking down the barrel of losing their $8 million home. The outlet showed documents that revealed the house was purchased under Dorit’s LLC. However, both Bravolebs signed a legally binding promissory note promising to pay off their mortgage. That said, a filing has shown that the Franchise Tax Board has suspended the LLC. Ronald Richards spoke with the outlet, sharing, “With the entity being suspended, it is most likely a loan default. For the FTB to suspend in the entity, they have not paid taxes or filed returns for a while. It is a bad symptom for the borrowers.”

Just last week, Dorit and PK paid off a notice of default in the amount of $300,000. But Ronald argued, “A lender can default for non-monetary violations like non-payment of property taxes or if the entity is suspended. There are many covenants to a loan besides making the payments on time. I think if the lender finds out about this, they will order her to cure it, and if she doesn’t, issue a new default.”

PK Kemsley might go after Dorit Kemsley’s money

Ronald, who is known for his Bravo fanboying and legal knowledge (he’s an attorney), also updated fans on Dorit’s possible issue. The mother of two has been earning money from brand deals and around $100,000 per Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season. While PK has once filed for bankruptcy and often conducted his work in London. Ronald, who spoke with the outlet, noted, “I think Dorit’s salary is highly visible and PK has passive investments. If they are not produced, it may subject her to a spousal support award.” In the divorce filing, Dorit has asked for child and spousal support.

The lawyer added, “Any housewives IP [intellectual property] is community property. If PK doesn’t have cash, Dorit could even have to pay for his attorney.” However, Ronald does believe that Dorit would win child support since PK is often traveling. “My view is Dorit knows where PK’s money is and will try to show his income,” Ronald noted. “If a marriage is considered a long time, then the court retains jurisdiction to award spousal support forever, and the cut-off is ten years.” According to the expert, the law might be on Dorit’s side. He added, “There is a policy that spouses have to work, and Dorit works so the court always has discretion to depart but these presumptions dramatically affect a divorce in California.”

Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley aren’t strangers to money issues

During the Season 14 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Dorit was grilled by Andy Cohen regarding her home. She did reveal, “Well, there are reports that it is in pre-foreclosure. I had no idea about it. [PK] told me that they changed the rate, he was trying to get a hold of somebody, no one was returning his calls — that’s the way he does business.” The explanation felt odd as she noted, “Until they give him his call back, he’s not going to pay. He resolved it. Listen, they ended up calling. That’s what he said.” To make matters worse, Ronald shared that if Dorit’s LLC gets sued, it can’t defend itself due to its suspension.

PK hasn’t had the best relationship with money. As noted above and by the Wall Street Journal he once had debt that amounted to $50 million. While Dorit claimed to have helped him the music manager said it was cleared up long before the duo met. But with the looming divorce, PK will have to disclose any earnings or investments including the ones he has in the UK.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
