Scheana Shay is denying rumors that she did not get paid for appearances on Seasons 1 and 2 of The Valley. The Vanderpump Rules alum popped up in a recent episode via a phone call to confirm to Jesse Lally that rumors about the woman he was seeing at the time were true. That’s one expensive phone call for Bravo.
Scheana, Lala Kent, and Tom Schwartz made cameos on both seasons of The Valley. And the Sexy Unique Podcast host Lara Marie Schoenhals suggested that the VPR trio appeared pro bono. However, the Good As Gold singer is denying those claims.
Does Scheana Shay get paid to appear on The Valley Season 2?
On the May 3 episode of her Scheananigans With Sheana Shay podcast, the reality TV star responded to the contrary. She stated, “First of all, I don’t ever work for free, so that’s not true.”
“Someone sent me a screenshot of that, and I can’t speak to all of their cast salary claims, but I’m pretty sure the screenshot I saw was 100 percent inaccurate,” she continued. “What they said about how much certain people are getting paid and significant others and whatnot. Literally none of that was true because these are my friends, and so I do know. Yeah, that was just some people putting it some [expletive] there.”
A post by Bravo and Cocktails suggested that Scheana and Lala were “paid per appearance” but not “offered a contract.” This explanation could provide some clarity to the payment confusion, however Scheana has not commented on its veracity. The established Vanderpump Rules stars that took main roles on The Valley, such as Jax Taylor and Kristen Doute, were paid “double” that the newbies Bravolebrities were.
