On The Valley’s most recent episode, Kristen Doute repeated a rumor that Jason Caperna habitually takes off his wedding ring while out solo. Naturally, that put her at odds with Janet Caperna. Especially since The Vanderpump Rules alum admitted that she deliberately went tit-for-tat when she felt that Janet was coming after Nia Booko’s marriage with Danny Booko.
Of course, with the lag time between filming Season 2 and its airing, one can hope that the costars are in a better place than they’d presumably be after Kristen and Janet’s conversation at Brittany Cartwright’s pool party.
Are Janet Caperna and Kristen Doute friends again?
Janet star gave an update to Us Weekly on her current dynamic with Kristen. According to her, she and Kristen are “not in the best place still.” However, given that the VPR alum is about to become a mom, Janet is minding her words.
“She is nine months pregnant, due very soon. I remember when I was that pregnant, the littlest thing can ruin your day,” The Valley star said. “When I think of her, I’m trying to send her all of the positive thoughts and energy.”
When Janet was pregnant during filming Season 1, she took care to surround herself with positivity. And she wishes nothing but the best for Kristen despite their current status.
“Kristen and I had a very real friendship for a very real time, and while we may not be great right now, I am so happy for her. She is going to be the best mom. I’m so happy she has Luke [Broderick, her fiancé] and she’s in this place in her life. … I’m happy for her and I want her to have the most happy end of her pregnancy and birth. I don’t want to throw any stress her way right now,” Janet shared.
Unfortunately, the duo have not move forward in their friendship. Janet revealed that she “doesn’t know” how to move forward with Kristen, despite being in daily contact previously.
“We were very, very close, but my goal this summer and in recent times, I really want to get to a place where we can have fun together,” Janet shared. “[I want] to be able to be in the same room … and have a good time at Dave & Busters.”
