The Sister Wives One on One Special has aired and the secrets have been spilled. To some extent at least. We’ve seen how the wives have grown and are speaking up for themselves. Meri Brown has shown her growth by saying she will no longer take responsibility for her falling out with Kody Brown’s final wife Robyn Brown.
There has been no love lost between Kody’s first three wives and Robyn. She hasn’t really endeared herself to the fans either. But Kody has continued to double down on Robyn despite the fact that their marriage may already be doomed.
Sister Wives’ Meri and Robyn Brown had a falling out
Among one of the questions during the June 8 One on One interview, Robyn was asked if she wanted to fix her friendship with Meri. She said she would love to, but she needs Meri to “reciprocate her attempts” to mend their friendship. Until then, she feels “meh.”
Meri was no longer going to take this sitting down. “In this clip with Robyn, it’s like okay, you are having pain about me leaving, that’s a YOU thing,” she told host Sukanya Krishnan.
That’s yours to carry,” Meri added. “Not mine.”
She explained further, “I think for a lot of years, I was trying to take the blame. I felt it was my fault and I need to fix it.” For so long, Meri felt the need to prioritize others as a member of the Brown plural family. “And I really needed to learn to let that go.”
Suki told her that she felt Meri was “icy” and Meri explained that it’s not that she feels icy but that she just doesn’t feel that she just no longer feels the bond they once had. Too much has happened.
“It’s just not there, which is really just unfortunate,” she said.
Fans saw Kody Brown’s plural marriage fall apart in the last several years. Christine Brown divorced Kody in 2021. Janelle Brown split from Kody in 2022 and Kody and Meri split in 2023.
And now it looks like Meri is finally accepting that she is not fully responsible for the breakdown of their relationship and the loss of her friendship with Robyn. Good for her!
