Two more years! Two more years! Bravo just greenlit Watch What Happens Live for another two years, which means Andy Cohen is going to be delivering the “midnight fun” until 2027, at least. In addition to renewing his late-night show, they also just extended his contract with NBCUniversal for three years. We’ve got all the details on what this means for the Real Housewives franchise and the rest of the Bravo shows he touches.
Andy Cohen’s NBCU Bravo contract is extended as WWHL is renewed
Variety broke the news of Andy’s re-upped contract with Bravo and NBCUniversal. They’ve extended his first-look development deal through 2028. Essentially, the network is doubling down on the fact that Andy is the number one guy in the group.
“After more than 20 years with Bravo, I’m full of intense gratitude that I get to continue living out my dream here,” Andy said in a statement. “I’m excited to keep growing our successes across NBCUniversal’s incredible portfolio and, most of all, thankful that I, along with my team, get to keep doing what we love most.”
On Instagram, he confirmed that this news means he’ll continue hosting all of the Bravo reunions and serving as an executive producer for the always-expanding Real Housewives franchise. You know Leah McSweeney is somewhere shaking her fist at the sky right about now.
WWHL just celebrated its 15th anniversary, and in the announcement of the renewal, Bravo highlighted the fact that they’re the only “live, interactive show in late-night television.” It’s also the only show where you’ll see A-list actors one night and a Real Housewife the next. There’s nothing like it, so we’re ready for a shotski to celebrate that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
