Season 6 of Love Island USA exploded, thanks in part to social media. And because the new host of the series was Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix. The show, which is part dating and part competition series, follows a new group of singles each season. To stay on Love Island USA, an islander must be in a couple to have a chance of winning the $100,000 prize.
Unfortuntately, some Season 7 islanders received some harsh social media comments. Now, Ariana is offering her best advice about dealing with all the noise.

Of course, after navigating Scandoval, Ariana knows plenty about negative social media posts. According to US Weekly, Ariana responded to a TikTok about the backlash that some Season 7 islanders are facing. “I also think the people running their social media pages need to be on top of blocking, deleting, and setting limits on words, etc on their pages,” the Love Island host wrote. “They shouldn’t see any of that when they get their phones back.”
Islander Yulissa Escobar was removed from the villa after one episode. This was because of racist posts that she made in the past. Then, Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown’s immediate connection also caused some backlash. Some viewers felt that their verbal interactions bordered on toxic.
Last season, Ariana spoke to the Season 6 cast at the reunion about online hate. “And when you are in a position like this, sometimes people can see you as a character on a TV show,” Ariana stated, “and they forget that you are a real person, with a real life and real friends and family.”
Meanwhile, Season 7 of Love Island USA is doing well. The steamy series reportedly pulled in 1.2 billion streaming minutes in less than one week. And that was with nine episodes available.
