Things certainly took a turn for the ugly during the divorce of Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia. And now, Simon absolutely regrets their short-lived marriage. He feels that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star targeted him for financial reasons.
Honestly, fans of RHOA were surprised when Porsha married the Nigerian businessman back in 2022. First, he was the ex of a friend. And second, there was a significant age gap. And it turns out their concerns were valid. The marriage didn’t last and the couple went through a messy divorce that was just recently finalized.

Simon has certainly changed his tune since 2024. When Porsha first filed last year, he said he would love her until the divorce was final. Now, he says he absolutely regrets their short-lived marriage.
Simon spoke with Page Six and called their union a “$5 million rehab project” that he took on. Honestly, the entire interview seemed to have a bitter tone.
He claimed that Porsha never had conversations with him about the problems, despite being forthcoming in the news though and saying she divorced him to protect herself. She knew Simon faced many complex legal issues. He was eventually deported to Nigeria because of immigration violations and bank and credit card fraud.
Porsha said she hired an immigration lawyer and told him to get it together, but Simon claims she never shared her concerns and they never had those discussions.
“I think I was targeted from day one for financial reasons,” Simon shared. “When I filed for divorce from my previous ex-wife, Porsha was in my DMs praying for me. I think I was in a vulnerable position at that time and I entertained it. It snowballed from there.”
Now, Simon revealed that Porsha gets $40,000 a month in alimony for the length of their marriage or $560,000 in total. She also gets to stay in the marital house for up to 36 months fully paid and has the option to refinance the property.
Simon claims he is going to appeal the decision. For her part, a source says Porsha’s moved on and wishes Simon the best.
