Lisa Rinna’s Daughter Delilah Hamlin Discusses Rehab Stay: ‘I Love It’

Delilah Hamlin, the daughter of former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna and actor Harry Hamlin, is no stranger to opening up about her mental health.

Fans have seen glimpses of her life through RHOBH, but behind the glam and modeling gigs, Delilah has faced serious struggles with anxiety, depression, and overmedication.

Those challenges led her to rehab – an experience she now looks back on with unexpected fondness. Recently, she shared how her time in treatment completely changed her life.

Delilah Hamlin has a lot of love for being sober

“I love being sober,” Delilah said on the July 4 episode of her parents’ podcast, Let’s Not Talk About the Husband. She continued, “I feel so ‘pick me’ when I’m like, ‘I’m sober,’ but whatever. I love rehab. I love it.”

Her dad chimed in and said Delilah “wasn’t that messed up” when she first went to rehab back in 2018, but she clarified that she didn’t go for addiction.

She shared, “It was more so I just felt so out of control of my own emotions,” she said. “I was so depressed, I was so anxious. It was just, like, a self-realization and I just needed help – it was a cry for help.”

Delilah emphasized that she chose to go on her own. “I was like, ‘I wanna go.’ I’m so lucky that you guys could afford it at the time and help me through it. I love it,” she told her parents.

Delilah first spoke about her rehab journey in 2019, a year after she moved to New York to attend NYU. When her depression deepened, she called her mom and asked for help. That decision led to two separate rehab stays in 2018. “I learned about self-love instead of self-deprivation. But most importantly, I learned what self-respect meant,” she shared at the time.

In 2022, Delilah celebrated six months of sobriety after a health scare caused by a prescription mix-up the previous year. She also took a break from social media to aid in her healing.

“It was the best decision of my life,” she concluded of her time in treatment – and she’s just getting started. She now focuses on music, modeling, and one day hopes to open her own rehab center.
