Aaron Phypers Files Police Report Against Denise Richards — Details

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.

Things are getting messy in Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ divorce. The former couple are at the police report filing stage of the separation. Aaron just filed a police report against the actress days after she accused him of domestic violence.

It’s all happening really fast. Aaron filed for divorce on July 7, 2025 citing irreconcilable differences. The filing came as a surprise to Denise. And it got really ugly.

Several days after Aaron’s filing, Denise filed a police report against him for domestic violence and was granted a temporary restraining order. She shared that throughout their relationship he would frequently choke her, violently squeeze her head, and slap her in the face and head amongst other things.

A clip from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills seems to corroborate her story. In the clip, Aaron told Denise not to tell him what to do or he would “crush your f*cking hand.”

Aaron quickly denied her abuse allegations and claimed that he had receipts of her cheating. Now Us Weekly claims that he went to the Lost Hills station for Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to file a police report against Denise.

The police report filed was over alleged vandalism, theft, and assault. According to the outlet, the Sheriff’s Department confirmed the report but could not disclose the details.

Looks like this is the next step in an already messy split. Aaron previously wrote a letter to close friends and family claiming that Denise needs help and denying her abuse claims.

“I have never physically harmed my wife,” he said. “And I did not give her a black eye. I have only ever stepped in to protect her or others. Denise needs an intervention,” he claimed.

The couple’s next court date is August 8.
