Once upon a time, Bethenny Frankel was the “it girl” of The Real Housewives of New York. Her biting humor and witty confessionals were legendary. One would think that she would be front and center in a RHONY group chat. However, Dorinda Medley said that isn’t the case.
Bethenny starred on the first three seasons of RHONY before departing. Then, she triumphantly returned for Season 7 before exiting again in 2019. As for Dorinda, she was “paused” after six seasons in 2020. Now, Dorinda is revealing why Bethenny isn’t part of the OG group chat. More importantly, who is part of the chat?

During a recent appearance on the podcast How to Fail, Dorinda explained why Bethenny wasn’t included. “I don’t think she particularly would want to be in the group chat,” Dorinda stated. “It’s not organic to her anymore, I don’t think.”
While Dorinda is still game to appear on reality TV, Bethenny is not. These days, Bethenny is known more for her TikTok reviews and hot takes on pop culture news. She even weighed in on the Coldplay kiss cam debacle. “What’s wrong with a Motel 6?” Bethenny ranted about the incident. “Who could you not run into at a Coldplay concert?”
Meanwhile, Dorinda appeared on Season 3 of The Traitors. After being the first murdered player, she was brought back to the Scottish Highlands to compete again on Season 4. Fingers crossed she lasts a while this time. We all know that Dorinda is good TV.
Further, as for exactly who is in the RHONY OG chat, that remains a mystery. I can only imagine what these ladies talk about in private, given what they are willing to say on TV. That chat must be absolutely unhinged. And I would LOVE to read it!
