The explosive finale made it all the more clear why Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko chose to buy a larger home away from (some of) The Valley residents. To their credit, they did their best to enter and exit cast arguments with decorum all season. Never hitting below the belt, even as slander swirled about Danny’s alleged drinking.
But in their confrontation with Jax Taylor at the finale, Danny let a few unkind words slip. Nia was on hand to hold him to a higher standard. However, some of it was caught on camera. And the Miss USA 2014 winner pointed it out her husband mid-argument. It caused an official breaking of the fourth wall.
Danny and Nia pointed out the cameras during The Valley Season 2’s finale
Michelle Saniei’s “Zen Party” was anything but. Jax had been fixated on Danny’s alleged drinking problem already. And he decided to address the issue at the finale event. Nia jumped in when matters became escalated. Jax attacked her for living in a perfect fantasy world. “Wrong pageant,” she quipped before Kristen Doute pulled him away.
Danny rattled off a series of accusations, including, “psychotic, narcissist, and a pathological liar.” He also repeated rumors of Jax sleeping with staff at his bar. All the while, Nia was imploring Danny not to stoop to that level.
“That was on camera,” Nia pointed out later on. “It’s right behind you.”
“We’re on camera right now. There’s a camera right here. There’s a camera right here. … What are you talking about?” he responded.
As the rest of the cast reacted to the fight, Danny could only express frustration to his wife. He said, “What do you expect, Nia? I’m trying to keep it together. I’m hanging on by a thread. I had zero sleep last night.”
Ultimately, nothing was resolved that evening between Jax, Danny, and Nia. Perhaps the issue will be addressed at the reunion.
