Scheana Shay has never been one to hold back. From her days as the unofficial it girl of SUR to her role as the emotional rollercoaster queen of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana has made a career out of living her life out loud. But in her latest move, she’s taking it to an entirely new level. Her memoir is part Bravo diary, part Hollywood cautionary tale, and 100% unfiltered Scheana. And whether you hoped she would fade away into the background or hope she jumps ship to The Valley, you’ll find something jaw-dropping in these pages. Here are the most shocking revelations from Scheana’s book that left us gasping, laughing, and texting our Bravo group chat immediately.
Scheana Shay’s Book Includes Some Major Tea

You’ve probably already seen those headlines about Scheana’s husband, Brock Davies, but what other major bombshells are dropped in the book? Let’s dive right in with a look at some of the moments that left our jaws on the floor…
Phone sex with John Mayer

If you thought Scheana’s John Mayer story ended with a casual fling, think again. In the book, she details a situationship with the singer that included late-night calls, flirty texts, and what she likes to tell followers was flat-out “phone sex” calls with the singer.
The pair met in 2008 while he was with Jennifer Aniston and dated for six months. In her book, Scheana wrote that John “seemed really into phone sex.” And “I was willing to do whatever he wanted.” Sadly, their tryst ended when a close friend of hers fanned her mouth to the tabloids. The mother of one noted, “Once it was public, he didn’t want to speak to me or see me anymore.”
Scheana has since told People, “I know him and Andy Cohen are very good friends, and I’m not trying to burn any bridges with this book. I’m just trying to tell my truth and tell enough of it to give context.” While John never made a Vanderpump Rules cameo (tragic), the relationship was apparently weird, intense, and full of mixed signals. It’s giving a romantic delusion. But also? Respect for naming names.
Questioning her sexuality
In a surprisingly vulnerable chapter, Scheana opens up about questioning her sexuality. This is something she often hinted at while on Vanderpump Rules. Followers knew she experimented with women, similar to Ariana Madix‘s journey; however, she admitted to feeling confused about her identity, especially while navigating a high-pressure Hollywood scene.
Brock Davies entered the picture in 2019, and in her book, she recalls an “inner battle.” Scheana spoke about her friend, DD, with whom she would often hook up, but added she was “concerned with what the VPR audience would think.” She was specifically worried fans would think she was faking the feelings.
She goes on to say that while she ultimately identifies as bisexual, she wishes she had been able to explore that part of herself without shame. And without worrying how it would be spun by producers or the press.
In the end, she chose Brock, writing, “I think if it had been a few more months, maybe we would’ve taken things to another level. But we were such close friends who drunkenly made out, would hold hands, and go on our little dates.” It’s a rare moment of introspection from Scheana, and one that shows just how much she’s grown since her boy-band-chasing days.
Scheana Shay reveals list of high-profile hookups

Scheana has always been upfront about her romantic past. From flings with Eddie Cibrian to her on-again, off-again Vanderpump romances. But in her book, she actually lists some of her most notable hookups. And let’s just say, it’s a mix of expected chaos and genuine surprises.
While she doesn’t name every name (lawsuits are expensive), she does confirm a brief makeout with a pop-boyband frontman (clues point to someone very JT-adjacent). And a very hot one-night stand with a professional athlete. Classic. In her book, she wrote, “I said to myself, ‘Okay Scheana, you’ve tried dating (or at least hanging out and hooking up with) all of these celebrities.”
She added, “Jesse Metcalfe, Eddie Cibrian, John Mayer, Shemar Moore, Josh Hopkins, Shane West, Jesse McCartney, JC Chasez, Adrian Grenier, Ricardo Chavira, William Tell, two actors from ‘The Notebook,’ and a few NFL, NBA, and MLB players, to name a few. And that’s not really working out.”
But the best part? She quips, “It’s time to switch things up and date someone who’s under the radar: I didn’t want any of the fanfare or complications that came with being linked to someone famous. I wanted to be with someone who was grounded.” Cringey? A little. Entertaining? Absolutely.
Andy Cohen handed fake court documents to Scheana

Now this is where the Bravo tea truly goes nuclear. According to Scheana, during the height of one of her legal dramas, you know, the restraining order mess with Raquel Leviss, she was handed what she believed were legal documents by none other than Andy himself. Viewers will recall that the two women had to stay one hundred yards from one another.
In her book, she reveals fans saw the host handing over paperwork and “showing that Raquel was dropping the restraining order against me.” And after talking to her lawyer during a commercial break, she noted it had “no legal significance.”
According to Scheana, she ripped the paper up, but the footage was never aired.
