Denise Richards Steps Out With Black Eye and Cut — Report

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.

It is hard to keep up with the disturbing details in the divorce between Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers. As you may know, Denise alleged that Aaron was physically and emotionally abusive to her. As a result, she was granted a temporary restraining order.

However, Denise allegedly went to retrieve her dog from Aaron and his family. When Denise reportedly banged on the door, Aaron left the home because of the restraining order. And Denise allegedly yelled at Aaron’s elderly parents, who were still inside the residence with his brother. Since no crime was committed, Denise left with her pup.

However, Denise told a different story. “On August 3, 2025, after confirming that Mr. Phypers was not present in her home, Ms. Richards entered the home to retrieve her dogs after learning that Mr. Phypers had put down one of her other dogs without her knowledge or permission,” Denise’s attorney said in a statement. That is not okay.

Well, Denise was photographed on August 5, out and about in Calabasas, California. She was wearing a ball cap, and it appeared that she had a cut on her chin, as well as bruising under her eye. Insiders close to Denise told TMZ that there were no injuries. She allegedly had a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injection and micro-needling. In addition, the shadow cast by her cap also contributed to the appearance of facial bruising.

Reportedly, Denise did not have a black eye when she went to retrieve her dog. When TMZ “reached out to Aaron’s camp,” they were directed to a previous statement. This statement alleges that Aaron never laid a hand on Denise and that she falls down when she is drunk. However, Denise’s source claims that these facial issues are not the result of a fall.
