On Real Housewives of Orange County, star Tamra Judge has often detailed her estranged relationship with her daughter, Sidney Barney. Sidney is not a fan of the spotlight. So, whenever Tamra would speak about her on-air, Sidney would cringe. But after some time, her cringing turned into her cutting off her mother. Many years have passed since we first heard of their divide, so where does Tamra now stand with Sidney? She just provided an update…
Tamra Judge clears up misconceptions about relationship with her daughter Sidney Barney
Tamra and her daughter Sidney are always a hot topic when Real Housewives of Orange County is airing. During RHOC Season 19 Episode 2, Tamra briefly spoke about it.
During this episode, Tamra revealed to the fanciest woman on her series, Heather Dubrow, that their halftime co-star, Gretchen Rossi, had been “contacting” Sidney behind her back many years prior.
“Sidney posted something about me, and Gretchen started communicating with her,” Tamra said in her confessional. Then, courtesy of production, an image of their online communications flashed on the screen. “That is one of the lowest, most disgusting things you can do: involve somebody’s child,” Tamra stressed.
Now, does a Facebook post constitute a conversation? According to Gretchen, no. “It’s not the same thing,” she explained, using a tone that’s echoing in my brain.
To update the masses on this topic, Tamra recently sat down for a chat with Nick Viall on his podcast, The Viall Files. Here, she revealed that she “saw Sidney. She came to the house not too long ago, and we hugged and talked. It’s not like she hates me; it’s not that situation. We’re just not super close.”
We’re happy to hear this! Hugs are for healing. And Tamra is all about that healing life now. Mostly.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
