When Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County started, Katie Ginella and Shannon Beador were friends. In fact, Shannon gave Katie insight about how to repair her relationships with the other ladies. My, how times have changed.
When Shannon found out that Katie had recorded her, mid-meltdown, without her permission, she was livid. Never mind the fact that she showed the tape to Shannon’s enemy, Alexis Bellino. This season of RHOC has been rough for Katie, and it doesn’t look like it’s getting easier. Even a trip to New Orleans can’t put a damper on the fiery drama.
Did the RHOC cast ditch Katie Ginella in New Orleans?
In a sneak peek of RHOC Season 19 Episode 6, the ladies are secretly split into two groups. Emily Simpson was in charge of the “troublemakers:” Shannon, Katie, and Tamra Judge. Sounds accurate.
However, as Emily, Shannon, and Tamra were filmed chatting in a car, Katie was MIA. That was because Katie was in her own car, bringing her husband, Matt Ginella, up to date. “So, I just had it out with Shannon. We were supposed to go eat at café Du Monde, and Shannon walked in and she goes, ‘I’m not going if she’s going,’” Katie told her hubby.
Cue the flashback of the ladies getting ready to leave. “I’m not really comfortable right now. I don’t want to be around you,” Shannon told Katie. “I’m not going if Katie’s going.” So, Katie offered to stay behind as the rest of the squad departed.
“You’ve been around Alexis, who is suing you with her boyfriend for $75,000. And I can’t eat a goddamn beignet with you?” Katie said in her confessional. “Give me a break.”
Finally, Katie caught up with the other ladies, chowing down on beignets. She explained what Shannon said, and Heather Dubrow asked, “They all got up and left you there by yourself?” And Katie confirmed it.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
