Apparently, J.Lo remained cool, calm, and collected, reportedly saying, “Okay, no problem.” Instead, the singer and actress dropped thousands of dollars at Beymen and Celine, which are other luxury stores. Later, Chanel employees reportedly asked J.Lo to return to the store, but she declined their offer. So, of course, Bethenny is weighing in on the incident.

“So J.Lo was denied access to Chanel in Istanbul, and she was unfazed and unbothered,” Bethenny said via TikTok. “When I went to Chanel, I looked like an absolute trainwreck, and they definitely wouldn’t have known who I was.” She added, “In J.Lo’s case, I presume she looked like a glamazon. And they just didn’t realize who she was, or they were full.”
Still, Bethenny questioned how the “person at the door” treated J.Lo. “I don’t think that Chanel should change any policies for public people. I think they should change policies about the elitism,” Bethenny explained. “And the way they treat someone daring entry into their kingdom, thus making them feel inferior.”
The former RHONY star continued, “They’re getting a lot of press. In 2025, you get more press for not letting J.Lo in than you do if you did.”
In Bethenny’s case, she returned to Chanel the day after she was shut out. She was dolled up in a black dress and carried a Chanel bag. Bethenny was allowed in the store, but did not purchase anything. The former reality star was just making a point.
