The Real Housewives of New York might be getting another makeover, and one surprising name has people talking: Martha Stewart.
After introducing a completely new group of women two seasons ago, Bravo put it on pause and is looking to reboot the reboot due to its disappointing ratings. Most viewers probably agree that “that is a very good thing.”
Martha’s polished style, sharp wit, and love of running a tight ship could be reality TV gold in a city full of strong personalities. So is she really about to swap her gardening gloves for an apple?
Is Martha Stewart joining the RHONY cast?

Rumors kicked up this summer that producers wanted 84-year-old Martha to join the show. A Page Six insider claimed, “Martha Stewart is in talks with Andy Cohen to become a New York housewife.” The source said her name has come up often in casting discussions.
When the question went straight to Martha’s camp, her longtime rep Susan Magrino shut it down fast. “Not Martha,” she said, adding, “She says she is not a ‘Housewife.’”
A Bravo rep shut the rumor down too, saying it’s just not true. For now, we’ll have to just fantasize about Martha in first seat of the reunion couch, with that unbothered look of hers as she deadpan tosses out the brand of cutting remarks only she can pull off.
Martha’s been on TV for decades. She’s had Martha Stewart Living, The Martha Stewart Show, and even teamed up with Snoop Dogg for Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Away from the cameras, she’s still running her lifestyle empire.
She’s no stranger to the Bravo clubhouse either. She’s been a guest on Watch What Happens Live several times, playfully throwing shade at Bethenny Frankel thanks to their years-long friendly rivalry stemming from B’s time on Martha’s version of The Apprentice.
That unfiltered streak has shown up in interviews more than once. She once revealed that Luann de Lesseps’ ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino, never returned her favorite apple pie dish. And, in her opinion, ruined the decor of an apartment she once lived in.
Martha’s not the only name being tossed around. Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard and alum Paige DeSorbo’s names were also in the mix.
So, for better or worse, it looks like Martha throwing jabs in a sprinter van just won’t be happening.
The Real Housewives of New York streams on Peacock. Viewers in the U.K. and Ireland can watch it on Hayu.
