Why Brandon Blackstock’s Death Hit Teddi Mellencamp ‘Really Hard’

When news broke that Brandon Blackstock had passed away, that was “really hard” for Two Ts In A Pod host Teddi Mellencamp. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is currently battling stage four melanoma. So, when she found out that Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband passed away from melanoma, that left her shook. And Brandon kept his cancer journey private, which left Teddi wondering what had happened.

Teddi Mellencamp was rocked by Brandon Blackstock’s death

Have you ever clicked on an article and wished you hadn’t? That’s how Teddi felt when she saw the news about Brandon’s death. His reason for passing hit a little too close to Teddi, as she is going through the same thing. Her stress and anxiety are high, to say the least.

On the August 13 episode of Two Ts In A Pod, Teddi talked about her feelings on Brandon’s passing to her co-host, Tamra Judge. She stated, “The Brandon Blackstock story really hit me hard this week. I wish I would have missed that little detail in the World Wide Web because then I started doing research, and they were so quiet about what … I mean, we know he passed from melanoma. They announced that.”

Teddi pondered, “I was wondering, one, ‘Did it metastasize?’ Two, like this is just where my head goes from being in the situation, ’Did he decline treatment?’ Three, ‘There’s so many different ways that this could have happened.'”

Even though there is strength in numbers, Teddi understood why Brandon did not share what was going on with the public. She said, “I have one million [percent] respect their choice to keep it private.”

Tamra then suggested she should reach out to his family. She said, “Maybe you can reach out to Kelly Clarkson.” Then she changed her mind and stated, “Maybe just not.”

Teddi concluded, “But those kind of stories hit you hard when it directly sounds similar to something that you’re going through.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock and streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
