Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania is used to dealing with casting rumors. RHONJ has been on pause for what feels like 100 years. And rumors about who will be part of Season 15, and who will be left out in the cold, are flying.
Of course, fans have their Jersey favorites, and they are a vocal bunch. Recently, Kim DePaola, also known as Kim D from her stint on RHONJ, floated the idea that Dolores, Margaret Josephs, and Melissa Gorga were returning to the show. However, Kim D is not the most reliable source. Now, Dolores is giving a casting update.
The RHONJ cast has not yet been finalized for next season, says Dolores Catania
Teddi Mellencamp asked Dolores about the casting whispers about her, Margaret, and Melissa on her podcast, Two Ts in a Pod. “I don’t think that’s to be true,” Dolores said. Then she asked, “What does cast around mean?”
So, Teddi explained, “That means that they’re gonna bring other people in and you guys are the three…” Still, Dolores stayed firm. “Cannot confirm. No decisions,” Dolores responded. “This is what they say, ‘No decisions have been made yet.’”
Meanwhile, Joe Gorga, Melissa’s hubby, has been hinting that the couple will be back on the show. During a charity softball game that Dolores organized, a fan asked Joe about his RHONJ status. “We’re back,” he told the fan before playfully holding his finger to his lips. WOW. So, apparently, Joe cannot keep a secret.
However, if Dolores doesn’t snag a spot on the Jersey cast, she has already been guesting on a new Bravo show. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island will be joining the Bravoverse in the future, and Dolores has been filming with the cast. “I have one friend there, so I kind of, like the girls are, yeah. I’m helping out,” Dolores previously explained. “I’m visiting.”
Let’s hope that we hear some official casting news about RHONJ from Bravo soon.
