Denise Richards Earns Huge Court Win With Family Home; Ex Aaron Phypers Ordered To Stay Away

Monday, September 8, was a big day in court for Denise Richards. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum made her first court appearance amid her nasty divorce from Aaron Phypers, and she received a lot of good news. Although the divorce is far from being over, they have just made some important progress in some of the petty things they’ve been fighting over. Specifically, she just won access to the family home where Aaron and his family have been living.

There’s been a lot going on with this divorce, so here’s a quick refresher of what they went to court over yesterday. Denise allowed Aaron and his family to stay in their Calabasas, California home. Allegedly, Aaron stopped paying the rent, prompting an eviction notice. Meanwhile, Denise felt concerned about a number of her personal belongings that remained in the house. In addition to the potential eviction, she had a restraining order against Aaron that would make accessing the home impossible.

In court documents reviewed by People, a judge granted Denise access to the family home on September 13 to retrieve her personal items and a bunch of dogs that were still living there. The judge told Aaron that he had to stay 100 yards away from the property, reinforcing the temporary restraining order already in place.

The last time Denise went to the home, the police had to intervene. Aaron called the cops as Denise allegedly started fighting with his family members. This court order will prevent any drama like that from unfolding as Denise enters the property. It also forbids Aaron from taking any action that would interfere with Denise’s access to the house. He can’t change the locks. He can’t hide her stuff. Aaron has to let Denise get her belongings.

Another element of yesterday’s court hearing revolved around a stolen laptop and cell phone. Denise accused Aaron of stealing the devices, which allegedly contained nude photos of her. The judge instructed Aaron to return the devices.

Previously, Aaron claimed that he didn’t take the items, despite Denise having video footage of it. The judge sided with Denise and told Aaron he had until the end of the day, September 9, to return the stolen devices. All of this drama comes just two months after he filed for divorce, and there will be plenty more that they’ll need to unpack before finalizing things.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
